Have you ever just wanted to win a race, even if it meant racing against some Catholic school kids? Well the Knight Run 5K in Arlington, TX could be the race for you!
It was a brisk morning as we lined up to start the 5K. This was just a training race for me, but I decided to wear my tights and my under armour shirt to run in that day. Needless to say, I felt quite uncomfortable and kinda creepy sportin the black spandex in front of the kids. I quickly changed into the baggy running pants and jacket after the race.
I was sore in the legs the next day from stretching em out, but I had a new personal best time for the 5K and took the Women’s Overall for the day. It was fun racing the men, and maybe next time I can catch the skinny white guys at the front with the wind shorts…or not.
Carrie did her share of school kid butt kicking as well and took 2nd in her age group. She’s gonna be the one to watch for her Duathlon next month!
