Sometimes you pass by a place so often that two things happen:
1. You become completely unaware of your surroundings and sing the theme song to American Idol as you jet through the park.
2. You notice when a twig is outta place.
City of Waco Parks and Rec LOVE THEIR TOYS. I called in this branch and 10 min later we had a huge bucket truck, a wench truck, stump grinder trailer, 2 field supervisors, a three-man crew in monkey suites with chain saws, and 2 rangers on standby to access the situation. Once we had the steel cable around the base, we were ready to pull…well hit the button to start the wench. Boys, bring your best we’re going in.
Does a tree falling in the woods make a sound if there’s not a diesel truck drowning out the noise?
Get rid of the evidence.
Damaged trees always come in pairs. This one off of “Powder Monkey” was on the brink of suicide. Way to take care of this poor soul Lanny and Justin. ROD Award (Ranger of the Day) to both of you!
